Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct 15-minute power interruptions on August 2, Friday, affecting customers in major areas of Davao City.

These service disruptions will be necessary to conduct retapping of Davao Light’s 69kV line and to facilitate normalization or return of load back to its normal setup after the preventive maintenance works at Davao Light’s Gaisano Substation last July 27.

Customers in Uyanguren corner Gempesaw Street going to entire Boulevard area, specifically from Salmonan Fish Market up to LTO office, including Bucana, Almendras Gym, City Hall drive up to Felcris Centrale, and Bolton Ext. will experience two 15-minute power interruptions anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m..

Those residing along Lapu-Lapu St. and from Agdao flyover up to N. Torres St. will experience the power interruption anytime between 12:01 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.. This will also affect those along Rizal Street, Crooked Road, part of Bolton Street, Anda Street up to Rizal St., including C.M. Recto St. from corner San Pedro St. to Jaltan Bldg., and from San Pedro corner Bolton to Kusina Dabaw.

 

Meanwhile, customers from corner R. Magsaysay St. and Ponciano St. up to Octagon including Jacinto St., Juan Luna St., Padre Gomez St., D. Ponce St., Padre Faura St., Fatima St., Calle Putol, and L. Guerrero St. will experience the power interruption anytime between 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.. Also affected are those from Gaisano Substation up to Guerrero St. corner Magsaysay St., from Octagon Uyanguren up to Magsaysay St. corner Quezon Boulevard including Pag Asa St., D. Suazo St., Sales St., part of Bangoy St. and Lizada St.. Gaisano Mall including San Pedro Hospital, San Pedro College, and Holy Cross College will also experience this service disruption.

 

Moreover, customers along J.P. Laurel Avenue from NBI Bajada office up to Aguila Glass including Dona Vicenta Village and from NBI going to diversion road that includes Bacaca Road, El Rio Vista Subdivision, Jade Valley, Woodridge Subdivision Phase 2, Southvilla Subdivision, Woodlane Subdivision and other nearby areas will experience the 15-minute power interruption anytime between 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.. Also affected are Davao Light Ponciano Office, customers in Arellano Extension near Central Bank, part of Mabini St., back of Bajada Power Plant and its nearby areas.

 

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
