Two 15-minute power interruptions on February 24 in major parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct two 15-minute power interruptions on February 24, Sunday, affecting customers connected to Tibungco, R. Castillo, Buhangin, Sta. Ana, Ecoland, Maa, Matina, Bangkal, Puan, Dumoy, Tugbok and Calinan Substations.

 

These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ Preventive Maintenance Servicing of its Davao Substation Transformer.

 

To avoid longer duration of power interruptions, load from the affected substations will be transferred to nearby lines anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will be on the same day anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m..

 

Specifically affected are customers from Agdao going to R. Castillo Street, Lanang up to Puregold in sasa. This also includes customers along diversion road from crossing Dumanlas going to Mamay, Catitipan, portion of Panacan up to Bunawan, including Cabantian and Tibungco areas.

 

Also affected are customers in Chinatown, Boulevard going to McArthur Highway up to Inawayan including Ecoland, Maa, Matina, Bangkal, Ulas, Catalunan Grande, Dumoy, Toril, Catalunan Pequeno, Mintal, and entire Tugbok and Baguio District.

 

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by this scheduled power interruption. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
