Service disruptions on October 2 and 3 in the northern part and downtown area of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct three power interruptions on October 2 and 3, Sunday and Monday, affecting customers in the northern part and downtown area of Davao City.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and the normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will be for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on October 2, Sunday.

These service disruptions will be necessary to conduct maintenance works on 69kV Line along J.P. Laurel Avenue.

Specifically affected are customers along Roxas Ave., C.M. Recto Ave., Jacinto St., Guerrero St., Guzman St., a portion of Villa Abrille St., parts of Monteverde St., R. Magsaysay Ave., Sta. Ana Ave., and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers along the entire Barrio Obrero, N. Torres St., Villamor St., Porras St., Lapu-Lapu St., Loyola St., Cabaguio Ave. and neighboring areas; customers along Victoria Plaza, Gaisano Mall and neighboring areas; as well as customers from Bacaca Road going to Diversion Road via El Rio Vista Village, Garcia Heights and neighboring areas.

Additionally, customers along J.P. Laurel Ave. from Abreeza Mall going to Ateneo de Davao University, including Medical School Drive, parts of Circumferential Road, portion of F. Torres St., Jacinto Ext., V. Mapa St., T. Palma Gil St., parts of Dacudao Ave. and nearby areas; customers along JP Laurel Ave. from Crossing Damosa to Jetti Business Center, including SM Lanang and neighboring areas; and customers along JP Laurel Ave. from Crossing Guadalupe Avenue to Azuela Cove and neighboring areas will be affected by these service disruptions.

Separately, the third power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on October 3, Monday. This service disruption will be necessary to normalize R. Castillo Substation after maintenance works.

Specifically affected are customers along R. Castillo Street, from N. Arroyo Street Junction to Agdao Flyover, and neighboring areas. Customers along Leon Garcia Street, from Agdao Flyover to Asian International School of Aeronautic and Technology, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service disruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
