Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on August 11, 12, and 13 affecting customers in different areas of Davao City.

Two 30-minute power interruptions will be conducted on August 11, Thursday to facilitate line upgrading and tapping works at Loyola Street corner Torres Street, Davao City.

To avoid a longer duration of power interruptions, load from the affected lines will be transferred to nearby lines for 30-minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will be for 30-minutes anytime between 3:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Specifically affected are customers along Torres Street, from the Department of Education Region XI Office to JP Laurel junction, and neighboring areas.

Meanwhile, there will be a four-hour power interruption on the same day, August 11, for the same reason mentioned above affecting customers in some parts of J.P. Laurel Ave. from cor. Polo St. to cor. Inigo St., and Loyola St.

Additionally, a 30-minute power interruption will be conducted on August 12, Friday, anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. to isolate a portion of Dumoy Substation for AVR Installation.

Specifically affected are customers from Dumoy Substation, Bago Alaya URC near Phoenix Gas Station, Dumoy to Harvey's Kambingan, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from URC to Lubogan Cemetery, Toril including Gallera de Oro Subdivision, Kaliraya Homes; Spring Valley Subdivision, JCEP Village, and Purok 2, Bago Gallera; Susana Homes Baliok, Bagahai Brgy. Baliok, and neighboring areas.

Customers from Dumoy Substation to UFC Dumoy, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service interruption.

 

Separately, there will be a four-hour power interruption on August 13, Saturday, to facilitate line improvements along Malagamot Road. Specifically affected are customers from the entire road to Malagamot, Panacan, Davao City.

 

Lastly, a 30-minute power interruption will be conducted on the same day, August 13, anytime between 3:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. for the same reason mentioned above.

Customers along Cabantian Road, from Ciudades to Indangan Barangay Hall, and neighboring areas will be affected by this service disruption. 

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

 

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
