Davao Light is urging the public to help strengthen its campaign against kite flying near power lines that has affected customers and vital installations during the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

To date, Davao Light has recorded 216 kites entangled on our power lines flying-related incidents affecting more than 20,000 customers within the Davao Light franchise specifically in the areas of Sto. Tomas, Panabo, Tigatto, Mandug, Indangan, Matina and Maa.

With the continued implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. provides online payment options for its customers who want to settle their electricity bills but do not want to go outside of their homes.

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc., together with the Aboitiz Foundation and the Income Credit Cooperative - an Aboitiz employee-organized cooperative, donated school supplies and hygiene kits to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI in support to DOLE’s Project Angel Tree.

Project Angel Tree is one of DOLE's projects that aims to gather and grant the wishes of child workers from a network of patrons and supporters of efforts against child labor. Services under the program include food, clothing, shelter, mentoring, livelihood, educational and medical assistance and other work and training opportunities for target child worker-beneficiaries.

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. and the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. support SOS Children's Village Davao and its family care program for orphaned and abandoned children.
