On the night of February 19, 2019, a mother pawikan was spotted on the shore of the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park in Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City on its way back to the sea.
The following day, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. discovered a new batch of Pawikan eggs laid in the park. This is the second nest for the year.

Both organizations received Php 100,000.00 as support to their programs for the kids under their care.

The recognition was given to Davao Light for its valuable contribution and continuing support as DepEd’s partner in promoting quality basic education.
