After recently releasing a new set of Pawikan hatchlings, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. welcomed another batch of pawikan hatchlings during the Bonifacio Day last November 30 at the Cleanergy Park in Punta Dumalag Matina Aplaya, Davao City.

Davao Light Community Relations Manager Fermin Edillon led the releasing of 98 pawikan hatchlings. This is the 9^th batch of pawikan hatchlings released for year 2017.

Many guests came to witness the releasing of the pawikan hatchlings. Both adults and kids filled the park with excitement as they bid goodbye to baby pawikans. And as brave as the Father of Katipunan, Andres Bonifacio, the sea turtle hatchlings marched towards the vast ocean as they begin a new journey.

Two more pawikan nests are expected to hatch within the month and in early January 2018.
