Davao Light turns over its 19th electrical laboratory to Vicenta Nograles National High School

Just recently, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. in partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation formally turned over an electrical laboratory to Vicenta Nograles National High School in Davao City just in time of the school’s 1st Foundation Day.

This is part of Davao Light’s Project e.Lab (electrical laboratory), which is in support to the Department of Education's Technical Vocational courses for the new K to 12 curriculum, benefiting students who are taking up Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) course.

 Davao Light EVP and COO, Engr. Rodger Velasco led the turnover and ribbon-cutting of the new laboratory together with the Davao City 1st District Congressman Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, PBA Partylist Representative Jericho Jonas B. Nograles, Department of Education Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Ines Asuncion and Vicenta Nograles National High School Principal Redilon Morales.

The project will not only promote individual growth of the learners but will also create an impact to the community as the graduates of this course will be able to provide service for the community's electrical needs.”, said Engr. Velasco.

Also present to grace the event were Davao Light AVP for Reputation Enhancement Rossano Luga, Davao Light Community Relations Manager Davao Light Fermin Edillon, school faculty and students.

The e.Lab in Vicenta Nograles National High School is the 19th e.Lab that Davao Light has tuned over to public high schools within its franchise.
