With the recent completion of the underground cabling project in C.M. Recto Street, Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) continues to make improvements in the city of Davao by replacing the existing High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street lights to energy efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights.
The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 17 convicted three employees of a local electrical contractor in Davao City that provides services to Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) after they were found guilty of theft of a distribution transformer six years ago.
It was on January 12, 2015 when the accused, namely: Harley P. Canon, Wilfredo A. Alcoriza, and Rolan A. Alcoriza, employees of LSB Electrical Services, were seen removing a transformer from a pole along Km. 10, Sasa, using equipment and tools prescribed by Davao Light,
The Aboitiz Group, through its vaccination programs in various communities nationwide, continues to strengthen its support of the national and local governments’ push for herd immunity in the country. Two of the Group’s most recent projects include the ongoing vaccination drive in Davao City by Davao-based business units (BUs) Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc., Davao Light and Power Co., Inc., Hedcor, Inc., and Therma South, Inc., and the recent donation of AstraZeneca vaccines by food unit Pilmico, for the residents of Capas, Tarlac. Both projects are executed alongside the Group’s corporate social responsibility arm Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., and in partnership with the corresponding local government units.
To further empower indigenous students through education, Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. (Davao Light), together with its social development arm Aboitiz Foundation Inc., continues to give its annual support to National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region XI and Mindanawon Initiative for Cultural Dialogue (MICD) scholarship programs.
