DENR rescues and turns over another pawikan to Aboitiz Cleanergy Park

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) rescued and turned over a pawikan to the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park in Sitio Punta Dumalag, Matina Aplaya, Davao City through Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. last June 11, 2019. The pawikan was alleged to originate from Surigao City and was smuggled when it was a hatchling to Panabo City, Davao del Norte, where it has been kept as a pet for 16 years.

Modern Bayanihan: Davao Light employees cover books and install safety and enercon signage for Brigada Eskwela 2019

Employees of Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. covered books and installed safety and energy conservation signage during the closing of the Brigada Eskwela last May 25, 2019 in Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) in Matina, Davao City and Dujali Central Elementary School (DCES) in Dujali, Davao del Norte.

This activity is Davao Light's annual support to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela anchored with this year's theme“Matatag na Bayan Para sa Maunlad na Paaralan”. However, this year was a lot different from the past brigada eskwela activities, which include repairing and repainting works.

Unscheduled power interruption hits part of Davao Light franchise

Customers in some parts of Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. franchise experienced an unplanned power interruption last June 2.

 

This power interruption happened after the Davao-Toril 138 kV line of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) tripped off. To stabilize the grid, an automatic load drop was activated.
