Davao Light supports Blood and Safety programs of Red Cross

The Davao Light and Power Co. in partnership with the donated a Water Rescue Manikin to the Davao Chapter to support its emergency preparedness program.

This rescue manikin will be a vital tool in making water rescue simulation and training more effective in preparation for any related emergencies.



Aside from this, Davao Light also donated financial assistance for the Red Cross’ Blood Samaritan Program. Under this program, blood is provided to the indigents who will need blood especially during emergencies and disease outbreaks.

The formal turn over of Davao Light to PRC - Davao Chapter was highlighted by a water rescue demonstration using the donated manikin and was witnessed by Davao Light President and COO Rodger S. Velasco, PRC Chapter Administrator Engr. Rogelio U. Aca Jr., PRC Board Member Harry Lopez, and trainers from the PRC - Davao Chapter.

“We will continue to support the Philippine Red Cross for its emergency preparedness and blood programs to help save lives.” said Velasco.

Davao Light's support to Red Cross programs will reach out the many different communities where Red Cross provides help, thus, advancing business and communities.
