Davao Light is now ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified
Davao Light and Power Co., Inc., an Aboitiz company and a subsidiary of the AboitizPower, has achieved
TÜV Rheinland (TÜVR), which is an internationally accredited certification body that audits the compliance of an organization with international standards, recommended the ISO certification of Davao Light after passing two stages of audit.
The ISO 14001:2015 or the environmental management system certification refers to the requirementsin enhancing Davao Light’s environmental performance. Meanwhile, the ISO 45001:2018, which is the occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, was for the requirements of Davao Light to manage risks and opportunities to help prevent work-related injury and ill health to workers.
During the audit, TÜVR has validated that Davao Light has met all the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
“This milestone reflects how Davao Light is committed to continually improve the efficiency of its business processes especially in relation to occupational health and safety and environmental policies.” said Engr. Rodger S. Velasco, Davao Light's President and COO.
Velasco also added that the accreditation will help the company’s various business processes attain a much improved business performance.
Davao Light, the third largest electric distribution utility in the Philippines, will continue to advance business and communities where it serves.
