Davao Light extends electricity service to Purok 7 and 10 in Barangay Anibongan, Carmen

Customers in Purok 7 and 10 in Barangay Anibongan in the Municipality of Carmen are now enjoying electricity service from Davao Light and Power Co., Inc..

Davao Light has put up poles and electricity lines, free-of-charge, to extend electricity service to 93 households in these two remote communities.

This project is part of the rural electrification program, which is a public-private partnership between the Barangay Council of Anibongan and Davao Light.

Last February 15, a ceremonial switch-on was held to signify that the said puroks are now electricity-ready.Municipality of Carmen Mayor Virginia Perandos and Municipality of Carmen Vice Mayor Bobong Soriano together with Anibongan Brgy. Captain Norman Librero and Municipality of Carmen Engineering Office representative Ronil Sagayno were present to grace the event. Davao Light Panabo-Engineering Supervisor Joel Deguito, and the residents of both puroks also witnessed the event.


This endeavor is part of Davao Light's aim to provide access to electricity to far-flung communities within its franchise.
