15-minute power interruption on April 23 and 24 in major areas of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a 15-minute power interruption on April 23 and April 24, anytime between 12:00 m.n. to 1:00 a.m. affecting customers connected to Ponciano, Gaisano, Victoria, and Tibungco Substations.

 

These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate the commissioning of a new 100 MVA power transformer and conduct an annual preventive maintenance servicing at Davao Light's Don Ramon Substation.


Specifically affected are customers from Ateneo Grade School in Matina up to Redemptorist Church along Bajada. This includes customers in the downtown area, El Rio, Marfori and Dona Vicenta Subdivision.


Also affected by these power interruptions are customers in the city north area of the Davao Light franchise, which is from Ilang, Tibungco up to Panabo Bus terminal that includes Tibungco, Bunawan and Lasang proper.


Customers in the southern area specifically those along Toril highway up to Inawayan including Sirawan and Eden will also be affected by these power interruptions.


Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience of these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
