AboitizPower Distribution Utilities support Marawi rehab, donates electrical supplies

In support to the rehabilitation efforts to rebuild the war-stricken Marawi City, Davao Light and Power Co. and the Cotabato Light and Power Co., both subsidiaries of the Aboitiz Power Corp., together with the Aboitiz Foundation donated Php 3.1M and Php 600k, respectively, worth of electrical supplies last February 21, 2018 to the Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative Inc..

 

Davao Light Vice-President for Engineering Mark Valencia represented the electric utilities during the ceremonial turnover held at the Task Force Bangon Marawi Field Office, Mahogany Hills in Iligan City.

 

We hope that through this donation, we will be able to help hasten the power restoration works in Marawi City. It was indeed a humble opportunity for us to extend help to rebuild Marawi” said Engr. Valencia.

 

Also present during the turn over were the Secretary General of Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Usec. Falconi V. Millar, Chairman of Task Force Bangon Marawi Sec. Eduardo D. del Rosario, NEA Acting Director Ramon Carlos O. Florese, Paralegal of LASURECO Omikhalsom Maruhom, Executive Secretary of LASURECO Atty. Mhyra Jane M. Abbas and VP for Government Relations of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Christopher M. Camba.

 

The electric supplies donated include distribution transformers, poles, wires and other electrical hardware.

 

Ultimately, Davao Light and Cotabato Light will continue to help in the advancement of the communities where it serves and where it is needed.
